Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information ABSM Protein Intelligence collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple: we collect what we need to run the Service and bill it, and we do not sell your personal information.

01Who we are

ABSM Protein Intelligence (the “Service”) is operated by American Beef Sales & Marketing LLC (“ABSM,” “we,” “us”). This policy applies to the Service at intelligence.americanbeefsales.com and related pages and emails. It works alongside our Terms of Service.

02Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account details — your name, business or company name, email address, and the plan you choose when you sign up or subscribe.
• Billing details — when you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card or bank details directly; we receive limited information such as your billing name, the last four digits and card brand, billing country/postal code, and subscription status. We do not receive or store your full card number.
• Communications — information you send us when you contact support, request a report, or reply to our emails.

Information collected automatically

• Usage & log data — basic information about how you use the Service, such as pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps, referring pages, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
• Device & browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and similar technical details, collected in server logs and by our hosting provider.
• Local storage — the Service may store small amounts of data in your browser (for example, your display preferences or which cuts you have pinned) so the tool works the way you left it. This stays in your browser.

03How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account;
• process subscriptions, payments, and renewals through Stripe;
• deliver the market reports, alerts, and other communications you sign up for;
• respond to your questions and provide customer support;
• monitor, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
• send administrative messages about your account, billing, or these policies; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

04How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service:

• Service providers — companies that process data on our behalf, including Stripe (payments and subscription management), Cloudflare (website hosting, delivery, and security), and email-delivery providers we may use to send reports and notices. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Legal & safety — when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of ABSM, our users, or others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

The market data in the Service itself comes from public USDA AMS Market News and does not contain your personal information.

05Cookies & local storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser local-storage entries that are necessary for the Service to function, to keep you signed in, and to remember your preferences. Our hosting and payment providers may set their own cookies needed for security and fraud prevention. You can control or clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly if you disable them.

06Payment information

All payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. When you enter payment details, they are transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. Your use of Stripe’s checkout is also subject to Stripe’s own privacy policy. We use the limited billing information Stripe returns to us only to manage your subscription.

07Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as necessary to meet our legal, accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

08Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, and we rely on established providers (Stripe, Cloudflare) for payment and hosting security. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and notify us of any suspected unauthorized use.

09Your rights & choices

You may request to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you may close your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. To make a request, email us at support@americanbeefsales.com; we will respond as required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10Marketing emails

If you receive marketing or newsletter emails from us, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. We will still send you non-promotional messages about your account, subscription, billing, and security.

11Children’s privacy

The Service is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party websites, including americanbeefsales.com and USDA resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
